Understanding print runs and editions

First edition: the very first printing of the album.

First edition special print run: first printing of the album, issued in a limited run for a bookshop or special event with exclusive features (additional endpapers, variant cover, bookplate, etc.).
Head edition (Tirage de tête): deluxe limited edition, numbered and often signed, published prior to or simultaneously with the regular first edition.
